No word from Bonnie as to what she has done to resolve the Christmas-plane-home vs. French Final standoff. Silence has got to be good news.
Quiet night last night, with only Ross and Adam home for dinner. Scrubs season-opener was the highlight. I flashed past the Bush Twins extolling the virtues of their mother...which didn't seem to extend to intelligence, but apparently she is capable of making decent chocolate chip cookies and she is able to drive a carpool. Well...yeah.
Spending quite a bit of time reading 'A Woman's Journey to God'. The best part so far (as it applies to me) is the section just read about people that have left the religions of their childhood. Seems Catholics tend to be the most angry (moi?) due to experiences with nasty nuns, having women being excorciated as the sinners of society, and just general patriarchal bullshit. Couldn't agree more. I am starting to get past the angry stage, though. I never did believe that only Catholics go to heaven...never have despite the way the nuns tried to pound the belief into me. I get ticked off at things like nuns being given no retirement benefits; while priests are taken care of in their old age, nuns are on their own. Women have no place in the church besides dusting it and dragging their kids there. Okay, so I am still a little mad.
No word yet today from the Mom-in-Law, though I have tried to call several times. Hope all is okay. I might have to just drop by later, if I can't hail her on her cell phone.
Adam declares he wants us all home for dinner early, so that he can drive down to Salem and hang out with his Willamette buddies (and his girlfriend, no doubt). Am planning a delicious but easy supper of Garlic Chicken/Broccoli pasta.
The sky has cleared from earlier rains, so I am going to get in my daily walking miles...so, I'll catch y'all later.
