Even better than the Crossfire appearance (where the nevertheless heroic Mr. Stewart hammed it up a bit too much) are his recent appearances on C-SPAN (I forgot the actual venue) and NPR's "Fresh Air": http://freshair.npr.org/day_fa.jhtml?display=day&todayDate=09/30/2004 ... his message about the responsibility of the media is clear, consistent, and much more effectively delivered. Still, I am not sure we should blame the journalists; I think it's the corporations controlling mainstream media that force them not to do their jobs.

Yes, absolutely. I watched the clip and Stewart was passionate and yet funny. At least, I thought he got some great digs in.
