Sounds like you have a lovely day planned. Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours! xoxo

What a great opportunity to mold, I mean get-to-know your niece! (tee hee) Have a wonderful Turkey Day!

That does sound like a delightful group and very manageable. My folks are having us, my sister-in-law(my brother has to work) and my mother-in-law. It will be very quiet and pleasant after my aunt's chaotic mess. I hope you can establish a great relationship with your niece; family is family.

I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving. Is Bonnie coming home? I hope so! May you and yours enjoy a blessed day together.

Good luck with the relationship building. Iknow that I find that sometimes I walk on eggshells around my nieces and nephews who are the offspring of the conservative sibling and the sister-in-law. They're young adults (college age and up)so I try to treat them like adults, but when they start to parrot some of their parents ideologies, it gets a little rough. I'm sure that you'll be able to find some middle ground and perhaps from that, she might at the very least, understand your viewpoints.

That's great that you're able to spend more time with your niece. My sister used to be WAY more conservative than me, when our kids were growing up - now, I can't believe some of the e-mails she sends on to me, really come from the same person! (I think she loosened up at the same time I became a little less 'wild'- in her eyes - till we met somewhere in the middle! Our mom passing on, actually brought us a lot closer as sisters, too). I am so thankful my eldest is hosting Thanksgiving again (her 2nd in a row!) Though I kinda miss the tablesetting/decor part of it - I'm glad to only have to worry about bringing some sidedishes! Good luck with the turkey & have a happy Thanksgiving!
