I went to a Catholic school for many years (St. Pius V in Buena Park) and we had the traditional Catholic school uniforms. I actually liked them. I liked that I always knew what I was going to wear, every day, and I wasn't going to have to fuss over it. My mom loved it, having the bajillions of kids she did, because we were all wearing the same thing and she didn't have to buy us as many clothes.
Our colors were blue and white. We had cute plaid skirts, white blouses with Peter Pan collars, and blue cotton sweaters to wear over them.
But they were nothing like the photo below, which according to the BBC Online (where I got this photo) are 'traditional South Korean school uniforms'. Can you imagine going out in these every day? They look like little wizards...
These are very official looking. Wonder if the kids feel smarter in them, sort of like when you wear a "power suit" to an interview. My son is entering kindergarten and we've just ordered his uniforms. He looks too cute.

There are times I wish I wore a uniform to WORK. The effort of figuring out what to wear every day gets tiresome. But I suppose a uniform would get tiresome, too.

I used to dislike the idea of school uniforms, but have changed my mind. Yes, I'm a flip flopper! I guess it's years of seeing inappropriate clothing and too many body parts. These are very unusual uniforms, but I like their originality.
